Robotics workshop
Robotics workshop 9-14 years old
Our initial course on robotics, Robotics Workshop course programming a ready-made robot buggy to perform a series of tasks. Children will be introduced to the microcontroller, the base building block of most advanced electronics, providing an infinitely expandable knowledge foundation. First they will program the robot to self-navigate through a maze then they will be given the opportunity to program the buggy as they wish. Using actual real-world components rather than pre-made kits (e.g. Lego Mindstroms) means you are not limited to the natural constraints of a kit. This puts the child in control of their own learning and understanding because of the nature of self-built projects being as simple or as complex as the child is capable of handling.
